Fronius Symo 4.5-3-S / Maximum flexibility for future applications
A key feature of Fronius inverter design is that the connection compartment is separate from the power electronics compartment.
The connection area and all cabling are first mounted on the wall. Afterwards, the power stage set compartment simply “snaps in”.
The innovative SnapINverter mounting system makes installation and maintenance extremely user-friendly. The inverter is mounted on the wall bracket and then securely locked in place.
For servicing, it is not necessary to remove the entire inverter—only the power stage set compartment. All wiring, settings, and configurations remain in place, making service faster and more efficient.
Unique PC board replacement procedure for Fronius inverters.
Fronius has developed a unique method for replacing inverter PC boards, as the electronic boards can only be replaced if the device is designed accordingly. This enables the fastest inverter repair service on the market.

Integrated WLAN interface.
Simple, user-friendly system monitoring is very important. With Fronius Datamanager, Fronius became the first inverter manufacturer to offer a WLAN interface directly integrated into the inverter itself.
The inverter connects to the internet without additional wiring and provides a complete overview of the photovoltaic system’s operation, ensuring easy and transparent system monitoring.
SuperFlex Design.
The Fronius SuperFlex Design combines all design requirements into a single inverter concept.
Two MPP trackers, together with high system voltage and a wide input voltage range, provide maximum flexibility. Each DC input—and therefore each MPP tracker—can handle the inverter’s full rated output power.
The result is a single inverter for every application. Thanks to SuperFlex Design, one inverter is capable of handling virtually any installation challenge.
Dynamic Peak Manager
The Dynamic Peak Manager is a new MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adjusts its behavior while searching for the optimal operating point. Its key feature is that it automatically scans the entire voltage–current characteristic curve at regular intervals and identifies the global Maximum Power Point (GMPP), even under partial shading conditions.
Smart Grid Ready
Fronius inverters are ready for the Smart Grid of the future. They feature a range of intelligent functions known as Advanced Grid Features, integrated across all devices.
These functions help ensure stable grid operation even when photovoltaic system penetration is very high. They also prevent unwanted power interruptions and the associated performance losses.
As a result, Fronius inverters contribute to securing the overall performance and reliability of photovoltaic systems.
