KOSTAL PLENTICOIN – the new unified voucher for product upgrades.
The PLENTICOIN is the single-purpose voucher for all extensions/upgrades of KOSTAL products. It is essentially Kostal’s new currency for flexible activation of all functions and services. When installing a hybrid device, the PLENTICOIN can be redeemed in the KOSTAL Solar online shop for the purchase of the required battery activation code. You can purchase it from specialized wholesalers, and it is available in two forms: an “analog” version in the form of a sealed voucher card and a “digital” version for dropshipping businesses. As a voucher card, the PLENTICOIN is available in three versions for the following regions: Germany, EU (excluding Germany), and third countries outside the EU. For tax reasons, the PLENTICOIN card can only be redeemed in the corresponding country.
Note: Product upgrades using an activation code change the device parameters and affect the way the installation is used. Therefore, only installers are allowed to use KOSTAL PLENTICOINs for upgrades.
Which product upgrades are available
The required number of PLENTICOINS depends on the type and size of the activation. The following product extensions for KOSTAL inverters and the Wallbox are available using PLENTICOINs in the KOSTAL Solar Webshop:
- Hybrid mode activation – 3 KOSTAL PLENTICOINs for PLENTICORE G3 / 1 PLENTICOIN for PLENTICORE+ and PIKO MP+.
- Power upgrade (per power class) KOSTAL PLENTICORE (G3) – 1 PLENTICOIN.
- Comfort function ENECTOR – 2 KOSTAL PLENTICOINs.
How does PLENTICOIN work
KOSTAL PLENTICOIN can be used in three simple steps:
- Purchase – You can purchase PLENTICOINs as an “analog” card version or digitally from wholesalers.
- Registration – You can register PLENTICOINs in the installer’s company account in the KOSTAL Solar online shop.
- Redemption – You can redeem PLENTICOINs in the KOSTAL Solar online shop for activation codes for product upgrades.
The installer can then use the activation code to enable the desired upgrades on the KOSTAL Solar Electric product.
