KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 – upgraded and better than ever!!!
The 3rd generation PLENTICORE (PLENTICORE G3) allows you to always have the right device available and exactly the amount of power you need.
The PLENTICORE G3 can operate as:
- A standard solar inverter.
- Hybrid inverter.
- Battery inverter (energy storage inverter).
As a solar inverter, it highly efficiently converts solar energy into usable household electricity and reliably supplies it to all consumers. As a hybrid inverter and energy storage inverter, it temporarily stores self-generated photovoltaic energy in a connected battery. Finally, in the event of a power outage, the PV system does not cease operation, as, thanks to the backup power function, the PLENTICORE G3 can continue to supply the household with power across all three phases.
A unique feature of the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 is its innovative scalability, which allows the inverter’s output to be increased by two power levels per size. For the PLENTICORE G3 L, the power levels are 15.0kW / 17.5kW / 20.0kW. This capability simplifies the planning and installation processes of a PV system, from the retailer and installer to the end customer. In other words, the PLENTICORE G3 always meets current power requirements, whether during initial installation or later, without the need to replace the unit or purchase a new one. This makes it a smart, sustainable, and flexible solution.
The 3rd generation PLENTICORE therefore offers a unified, multi-application solution for private users and small businesses. Thanks to its wide MPP range, the KOSTAL inverter is always the best choice for both new systems and for upgrading existing installations.
Excellent choice for battery storage operation.
The PLENTICORE G3 can be installed as a hybrid inverter or energy storage inverter for new systems or for upgrading existing systems. For this purpose, the third DC input serves to connect a high-voltage battery. The PLENTICORE G3 is compatible with a wide range of battery manufacturers. Many energy storage systems feature a modular design, offering various options and advantages. Thanks to the DC coupling of the battery in combination with modern high-voltage technology, potential conversion losses with the PLENTICORE are very low. KOSTAL consistently demonstrates the excellent performance of its systems by participating in the storage system tests conducted by HTW Berlin.
Now also with backup power functionality.
The 3rd generation PLENTICORE also features backup power functionality. In combination with the KOSTAL BackUp Switch and a connected battery, the system’s power supply is ensured in the event of a grid outage.
In the event of a power failure, the KOSTAL BackUp Switch is manually switched to backup mode. Electrical energy is then supplied either by the customer’s own PV system or by the connected battery storage system.
Sector integration with KOSTAL Solar Electric
The PLENTICORE G3 is the modern inverter that ensures the full utilization of the potential of existing and future PV systems. The generated solar energy is used for the operation and smart control of high-power consumers. Such devices include wallboxes, air conditioners, heat pumps, or heaters. Furthermore, it features 2 LAN ports, an integrated WLAN interface, and 4 digital outputs as standard equipment. This enables the connection and smart control of the PV system’s consumers. Other digital interfaces, such as Modbus TCP and SG Ready, contribute to the further integration of additional consumers. Finally, through the KOSTAL Solar Portal and the KOSTAL Solar App, free monitoring of the PLENTICORE G3 is possible.
