The KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 stands out because it can now operate as:

Excellent choice for battery storage operation.
The KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 can be installed as a hybrid inverter or energy storage inverter for new systems or for upgrading existing installations. For this purpose, the third DC input is used to connect a high-voltage battery.
It is compatible with a wide range of battery manufacturers. Many energy storage systems have a modular design and offer different options and advantages. Thanks to the battery’s DC coupling combined with modern high-voltage technology, conversion losses with the KOSTAL Solar Electric system are very low.
KOSTAL Solar Electric consistently demonstrates the excellent performance of its systems by participating in storage system testing conducted by HTW Berlin.
Now also with backup power functionality.
The 3rd generation KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 also features a backup power function. In combination with the KOSTAL BackUp Switch and a connected battery, system supply is ensured in the event of a power outage, independent of the grid.
In case of a power failure, the KOSTAL BackUp Switch is manually switched to backup mode. Electricity is then supplied either from the customer’s own photovoltaic system or from the connected battery.
Greater safety and long-term satisfaction.
KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 is fully equipped to meet all modern requirements of photovoltaic systems. This also applies to all safety features of the German-engineered inverter.
This is ensured by the integrated DC surge protection (Type 2) in the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3. Optionally, this protection can easily be added to the inverter as an additional module.
For protection against induced overvoltages that may occur from the PV module side, the DC surge protection provides the necessary level of safety. In the event of a lightning strike, for example, the DC surge protection is activated. The KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 automatically reports the fault to the KOSTAL Solar Portal.
The DC surge protection can then be replaced and upgraded at any time.
Sector integration with KOSTAL Solar Electric
In addition, the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 features 2 LAN ports, an integrated WLAN interface, and 4 digital outputs as standard. This enables the connection and intelligent control of PV system consumers.
Other digital interfaces such as Modbus TCP and SG Ready further contribute to the integration of additional consumers.

Thanks to its compact design and small dimensions (57 cm height / 24 cm depth / 41 cm width), the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 offers flexibility even in confined spaces.
Regarding installation and commissioning, you can choose between the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 device display and a smartphone. The installation wizard guides you step by step through the device configuration.
With the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3, the PV modules are connected quickly and safely in a separate terminal compartment via the power electronics section with enclosure protection. It also features push-in terminals for time-saving wiring.
With the AutoUpdate function, the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 inverter always operates with the latest available software for optimal performance and functionality.
