A few words about the BYD BatteryBox Premium HVM.
BYD BatteryBox Premium HVM systems consist of individual battery modules and offer higher storage capacity than their predecessor. Further development of cell technology has reduced the system weight by nearly 30%. The construction depth has also been reduced by 8 cm. One of the key highlights is that the new storage systems have an IP55 protection rating, which allows them to be used outdoors as well.
In addition, they are more flexible and scalable. With the new generation, it is possible to connect up to three battery towers in one system. Each battery can also deliver its nominal capacity as power output—i.e., 1C. This makes the new series ideal for on-grid systems, on-grid plus backup systems, and off-grid applications.
BYD BatteryBox Premium HVM consists of 3 to 8 HVM battery modules connected in series to achieve usable capacities of 8.28 kWh, 11.04 kWh, 13.80 kWh, 16.56 kWh, 19.32 kWh, and 22.08 kWh. Finally, direct parallel connection of up to 3 identical BYD BatteryBox Premium HVM systems allows a maximum capacity of 66.2 kWh.
