KOSTAL PLENTICOIN is a single-use voucher for all extensions and upgrades of KOSTAL products.
During the installation of a hybrid device, the PLENTICOIN can be redeemed in the KOSTAL Solar online store to purchase the required battery activation code. It can be purchased from specialized wholesalers and is available in two formats: an “analog” version in the form of a sealed voucher card and a “digital” version for dropshipping businesses.
As a voucher card, PLENTICOIN is offered in three versions for the following regions: Germany, EU (excluding Germany), and non-EU countries. For tax reasons, the PLENTICOIN card can only be redeemed in the corresponding country.
Note: Product upgrades using an activation code change the device parameters and affect the way the installation is used. Therefore, only installers are allowed to use KOSTAL PLENTICOINs for upgrades.
Which product upgrades are available
The following product extensions for KOSTAL inverters and the Wallbox are available and can be requested with PLENTICOIN in the KOSTAL Solar Webshop:
- Hybrid mode activation – 3 KOSTAL PLENTICOINs for PLENTICORE G3 / 1 PLENTICOIN for PLENTICORE+ and PIKO MP+.
- Power upgrade (per power class) KOSTAL PLENTICORE (G3) – 1 PLENTICOIN.
- Comfort function ENECTOR – 2 KOSTAL PLENTICOINs.
How does PLENTICOIN work
KOSTAL PLENTICOIN can be used in three simple steps:
- Purchase – KOSTAL PLENTICOINs can be purchased either as an “analog” version in the form of a card or as a “digital” version from wholesale distributors.
- Registration – PLENTICOINs are credited to the installer’s company account in the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store.
- Redemption – PLENTICOINs are redeemed in the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store in exchange for activation codes for product upgrades.
The installer can then use the activation code to enable the desired upgrades on the KOSTAL Solar Electric product.
How can I buy PLENTICOIN
PLENTICOIN can be purchased as an “analog” version in the form of a card or as a “digital” version from wholesale distributors.
- PLENTICOIN card
Order them directly from your wholesale dealer from available stock for the relevant region: Germany, the EU (excluding Germany), and non-EU third countries.
- PLENTICOIN Digital PLENTICOIN
Order at least 10 units directly from your wholesale dealer. The PLENTICOINs are credited directly by KOSTAL Solar Electric to the installer’s company account. You will receive an email notification immediately after they are credited. This way, you get instant access to the PLENTICOINs.
How can I register PLENTICOIN?
Via the KOSTAL Solar App
Open the seal found on the front of the PLENTICOIN card. Then scan the PLENTICOIN QR code. For this purpose, use the KOSTAL Solar App in PRO mode. By scanning the PLENTICOIN QR code, your company account (i.e., the number of PLENTICOINs) is credited in the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store.
Via the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store
Open the seal found on the front of the PLENTICOIN card. Log in to your company account in the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store and select PLENTICOIN from the menu. Manually enter the PLENTICOIN code printed on the card into the online store. By entering the PLENTICOIN code manually, your company account (i.e., the number of PLENTICOINs) is credited in the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store.
Note: If you purchase a “digital” PLENTICOIN from a wholesale distributor, it will be credited to your company account in the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store once the distributor places the order with KOSTAL Solar Electric. No further action is required.
How can I redeem PLENTICOIN?
Via the KOSTAL Solar App
Open the KOSTAL Solar App and select PRO mode. Then click on “Store.” Scan the serial number of the KOSTAL Solar Electric product and select the desired product upgrades. Add them to the shopping cart and complete the purchase process through the cart. Finally, log into the KOSTAL Solar Electric product using the installation wizard and transfer the activation codes you purchased.
Via the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store
Log in to your company account in the KOSTAL Solar Electric online store. Enter the serial number of the KOSTAL Solar Electric product on the homepage. Then select the desired product upgrades. Redeem your available PLENTICOIN in your company account to purchase the upgrades. You will receive the corresponding activation codes via email within a few minutes.
Note: The number of available PLENTICOIN in your company account is reduced accordingly.
How can I enter activation codes into a KOSTAL Solar Electric product?
Via the KOSTAL Solar App in PRO mode
Enter the activation code during “Initial commissioning” in the installation wizard.
Via the device display
Manually enter the activation code on the device screen in the “Additional options” menu.
Via Webserver
Manually enter the activation code in the Webserver under the menu “Settings > Additional options > Options” (Settings > Additional options >Options).
